What to add to your Spring wardrobe

Spring 2021! A sense of relief with things opening up and a vaccine that seems to be the key to keeping us safe. This season, I feel we all deserve a little boost to our closets after being hidden in our homes for so long. Not sure about you; but some of the clothes in my closet are fitting a lot different than a year ago and some have lost their shape and luster. I am tired of parading around the home in dark colors and drab clothes. It's time to get out with a fresh start! I have sorted through my wardrobe and pulled out all the things that don't bring happiness to me and have them ready to go for donation.

This Spring;
I am bringing in positive energy with these
5 fashion trends!

Tie Dye

Did you know that "tie dye" was the most searched keyword in 2020? No wonder it is one of the most favorable fashion trends of Spring 2021. It will likely be around for the remainder of the year as many designers are seeing positive reaction to the 1960's trend.

I am loving these two tie-dye long sleeve tiered dresses that are under $25!!! Both, are extremely versatile and can be worn for practically any Spring occasion. I have paired them with belts and a rancher hat for a day look in pink and an evening look in blue. You could wear these dresses to birthday parties, brunch with the girls, as a beach coverup and for date night.

Pretty in Pastels

Dating back to the 14th century; pastel hues have been the popular form to express lightheartedness and softness. For over a year, our closets have been neglected with the serious demeanor of working from home and sheltering in place. This is why shades of pale pink, yellow and blue should be introduced to your Spring wardrobe. These colors are closely tied to growth and development and often times will make you feel light, soft, feminine and peaceful.

I am wearing one of my favorite finds for Spring. This Flutter Short Sleeve Knit Wrap Maternity Dress can be worn if you are pregnant, post pregnancy or (if you're like me) not pregnant at all! What I love about this dress is that it accentuates your waist making it appear smaller, while the ruffles elongate your body; making you appear thinner and taller. Who doesn't want to walk out of their home looking 10lbs lighter?

Shades of Orange

If you need a pick me up; introducing a shade of orange into your wardrobe will help up lift your spirit. Orange is associated with meanings of joy, encouragement, fun, and stimulation. Not only will this color boost your mood, but others who see your wearing it.

Here I am wearing a Flutter Short Sleeve A-Line Dress. I have styled this dress with a basket weave purse, nude heels, and the perfect shade of lipstick to make my outfit pop! You can wear this perfect ensemble at a graduation, mother's day, a wedding or a special Easter event.

Headed to the beach or resort; what better way to stay cool and chic then to wear tennis-ball green aka yellow-green. This color will make you feel sexy and confident as you emerge from your home into the sweet sunshine and water.

Fantasy Floral and Bubble

Floral dresses are the most versatile dress to add to your closet. They don't need a lot from styling, but are chic enough to be stand alone pieces. To some; floral dresses are like the little black dress of Spring.

This Spring, I am sharing one designer look. I splurged on these statement piece from my favorite designers Rixo and Bottega Veneta. Rixo creates easy-to-wear feminine shapes with high-quality materials. As soon as I put on their dresses, I instantly feel empowered and beautiful. I have paired this dress with a Bottega Veneta cassette handbag. This season The Chain Cassette Leather Bag in green is the perfect staple for Spring fashion. Below I have included a few designer dupes if you are looking to achieve this look for less.
