DIY - Make these rainbow confetti bulb ornaments this holiday season

The colorful and delicate ornaments can be made with or without the rainbow bow. They can also be made in any color you prefer so they can match with your existing set of ornaments. We happened to go with a rainbow color scheme because color is everything during the winter months.

Here's what you will need to make this ornament :

(you can shop these items below)

-Round clear plastic ornament with detachable

-Rainbow ribbon

(you can select any color ribbon of your choice or go with no ribbon)

-Large confetti preferably round

(you can go with any color however we went with this pastel color pallet)

-Nail confetti

(this is usually used for nail art but looks absolutely gorgeous in a clear ornament. Go for a metallic finish)

-Wool yarn specifically used for needle felting

(We went with a package that comes in a variety of colors)

Shop all that you need to complete this craft:

Directions:

  1. Remove metal hanger cap

  2. Sprinkle nail confetti into ornament. Use about two pinch fulls.

  3. Add, the large confetti into the ornament. We added two pinch-fulls

  4. Take out the wool yarn, break of a two-inch section. Pull the yarn apart and then place into ornament

  5. Swirl the confetti around the inside for a few seconds to mix everything

  6. Place metal hanger cap back onto the ornament

  7. Tie a bow on the top of the ornament

pro tip:

If you want the confetti to stick to the sides of the ornament use Mod Podge. Before you start putting anything into the ornament start by pouring Mod Podge into the ornament and coating the inside of the ornament. This will ensure that your nail confetti and large confetti stick to the the sides. We did not use Mod Podge on this ornament because we wanted to keep it as mess free as possible.
